About Lok Adalat
A Lok Adalat (people’s court) is a sitting organised by the Legal Services Authorities to settle cases by agreement, including many traffic challans.
National Lok Adalats are held across India several times a year on dates announced by NALSA, and state and district authorities can hold extra sittings.
Not every challan is eligible. Serious offences, such as drunk driving, usually have to go through the regular court.
Questions about Gurugram challans
Is Gurgaon the same as Gurugram for challans?
Yes. The city was renamed Gurugram, but you may still see Gurgaon on older records and in some forms. Both refer to the same district.
How do I check a Gurugram traffic challan online?
Enter your vehicle number on DigiChallan to see every pending challan with its offence and amount, then pay in full or settle through Lok Adalat.
Can a Gurugram challan be settled at a discount?
Many can, through Lok Adalat. A verified advocate enrolled in Gurugram represents your case, and the settlement can reduce the fine by up to 50%, depending on the challan.
I got a challan on the Delhi–Gurugram border. Which city is it?
It depends on where the offence was recorded. Search your vehicle number and we show the district for each challan, so you know where it is being handled.
